Ken Robinson

Shareholder

A Director and shareholder in Liverpool Organic Brewery, Ken’s background involves travelling the world in the Telecomms industry before moving into the drinks industry.

He began work at 16 as an apprentice Telecommunication Engineer with another proud Liverpool brand, Plessey’s. Just four years later he was named national apprentice of the year in the Telecoms industry with a TEMA Award. He worked in London, Coventry, Nottingham and other towns and cities throughout the UK before being appointed Project Manager for contracts. In this role he travelled the far east working with clients and firm in Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, The Philippines and Thailand.

After 30 years he decided it was time for a change and embarked on a new career. He acquired the Cheshire Cheese pub in Wallasey in 2002. It is, he says, a far more diverse career that what he was used to, but also far more rewarding. By 2009 he was keen to expand and contacted Mark Hensby who was at that stage just starting Liverpool Organic Brewery. The rest, he says, is history.

Ken is married to Lynne and they have a daughter, Laura, who works at the brewery.
